“Content-based scaling” for photos – woohoo! I actually read about this type of software about a year ago, and it was called Rsizr, except they called it “seam carving”.

From a quick read it looks like Photoshop and Illustrator are starting to look more “Macromedia-ish” that is taking a cue from those software programs (yes yes let’s not get picky. I meant the programs formerly owned by Macromedia). Example – tabbing in Photoshop which is similar to Flash/Dreamweaver/Fireworks, and drawing ‘blob’ method in Illustrator which seems similar to the way you draw in Flash, etc.

    1. Random question: I know you are using wordpress for this blog, but have you tried any other platforms. I am trying to decide for my blog? and I ask because I like yours.

    2. Hi Justin,

Regarding your question: I have tried Blogger/Blogspot before but not any others. Blogger is also great and easy to use for a beginner, but I wanted the ability to fully control and design my own theme (to integrate with my website) which is why I went with Wordpress. Also, it is free and some of the others (such as Typepad) you have to pay for. There are also heaps of Wordpress resources online to help you :)

      Hope that helps!
