Tweet Tweet! I am having a very Twitter weekend.

So I got my free 8-week subscription to the Sydney Morning Herald and Sun Herald via Expedia (thanks Expedia! See? Sometimes it pays to subscribe to newsletters… ) and started reading the ‘Good Weekend’ magazine yesterday. There was an article about Twitter in it. Then I moved onto ‘Spectrum’ and there was yet another article. Then, today, in the Sun Herald ‘Life’ magazine was a third article. Is Fairfax affiliated with them I wonder?…

I couldn’t see a need for me to join Twitter with the 50 billion other online things I’ve already joined or subscribed to but now I can see the benefits. It is a sort of a cross between Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs/RSS feeds, newsletters and text messages all mixed into one but simplified.
