I grew up and spent most of my life in Sydney, Australia. I grew up with two DIY parents who made everything themselves. I was always into art and craft and entered many art and coloring-in competitions as a child. One of my first proudest moments was winning a silver medal/prize in the Pentel International Children's Art Competition aged 7, and subsequently getting a story and my photo in the local paper.
I completed a Visual Communications degree with honors at the University of Technology, Sydney after finishing high school. During and after that time I also participated in entrepreneurial programs (such as Shell Livewire, Young Achievement Australia (YAA), and New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS). I've worked as a graphic designer, and published two books.
I love looking at and creating beautiful things. In my spare time I do quite a bit of photography and am available for family portraits in Sydney. You can check out some of my previous photos in my Flickr, here.
I have travelled extensively since I was 3 years old; and apart from Sydney; I've also lived in Los Angeles, Melbourne, Taiwan and Shanghai. Last year I lived in the Lyon (Rhône-Alps) region of France and now I live in Geneva, Switzerland. I enjoy experiencing other people's cultures and lifestyles (and food!). That, and it's a great excuse to take more photos! I adore learning foreign languages and I speak French and Chinese Mandarin at an advanced level. I also know basic Japanese.
About Chamelle Design & Photography
I created Chamelle Studios in 2008 which offers fresh and creative solutions and services in the areas of graphic design, web design, photo re-touching and enhancement and photo album layout design.
I'm available for couple or family portrait photo shoots or event photography in Geneva for very reasonable rates. Please see my Flickr for a small sample of my work and contact me if interested.
Some time mid-2008 I decided to enter a Minted stationery design competition and ended up winning a runner's up prize. I've been designing/making cards for as long as I can remember and it rekindled my love for designing beautiful, elegant invitations. This website is both a showcase and store for some of my work. You can purchase designs from my shop or check out some of my freebies.
